You can use these with the Robot Filter Screen or without it. Many believe that they improve extraction yields and reduce channelling. Rinse them before use and place on top of the coffee. If desired, you can reuse them by rinsing them thoroughly.
One filter paper should be placed on the bed of tamped coffee. It is essential to use the filter paper (or filter screen) during brewing; otherwise, adding water will result in a messy sludge.
After tamping, insert the filter paper (or filter screen) and firmly press it downward using two fingers.
Avoid pumping the arms up and down as it will disrupt the puck and water flow.
