Shipping to the US from 29 August 2025

Because of the changes to customs requirements for goods being imported into the USA, including that goods valued at $800 or less will no longer be exempt from import duties and taxes from Friday, 29 August 2025, all parcels to the US will be subject to duties, taxes, handling fees, or brokerage fees.

Since Cafelat UK is not responsible for handling any overseas charges, customers should carefully consider this before placing an order.

Royal Mail (USPS in the US) has currently suspended all shipping services to the US for small parcels (under 2 kg). Further information will be provided once updated prices are confirmed. Please visit https://www.royalmail.com/usapersonalupdates for more details.

Below is an example of DHL’s estimated charges for Cafelat Robot packages:

  • Item name: Cafelat Robot – manual espresso machine
  • Value: Depends on your order
  • HS Code: 8210.00.00

Please note, the above charges are estimates only. US customers must sign a confirmation, which Cafelat UK will email within 1 working day after receiving the order, acknowledging that they are responsible for any duties, VAT, taxes, handling charges, and brokerage fees generated from the US customers and the forwarder.

DHL brokerage fees in the US are typically around 2.5% of the total shipment value, with a minimum charge.

UPS does not have a fixed brokerage fee in the US.

The final brokerage cost can vary depending on the specific shipment, as it is often combined with other charges like customs duties, Harmonised Tariff Schedule (HTS) fees, and potential taxes, which are the responsibility of the recipient.
